Job Description

We are GROWING and looking for an experienced Operations Specialist with shared values and a growth mindset to join our team.

At Chops Consulting, we help design & implement strategies that help businesses optimize their tech, processes, systems and marketing to ensure efficiency and drive sustainable growth. If a business has a problem, not only do we resolve it; we leave their company stronger than ever before. (More here.)

Key Responsibilities

  • Set up and customize software solutions to meet the specific needs of the company, ensuring seamless integration and optimal performance.
  • Analyze existing business operations, identify bottlenecks, and develop strategies to streamline workflows.
  • Stay updated on industry best practices, emerging technologies, and market trends to continuously improve operational effectiveness.
  • Utilize your expertise in running businesses to provide guidance and support to various departments within the organization.

This is a fully remote role, and you are expected to have a quiet, professional place to work as a significant portion of your work will be client-facing meetings.

You

  • Have a strong background in the legal industry. Bonus for additional background in one or more of the following: bookkeeping / accounting, running a business, operations consulting or management, or digital marketing (SEO, web design, running paid ads, building funnels, etc)

  • Are digitally-savvy! You can dive in and quickly learn any software. You are familiar with a variety of technology including CRMs, Legal Accounting Software, Project Management Systems, Scheduling Tools, and Business Management Platforms. Fluency with both Google Workspace (docs, sheets, drive, etc.) and Office365 (Word, Excel, Outlook) a strong plus.

  • Get sh!t done! You're efficient and a self-starter. As a remote position, a critical part of this job is the ability to stay on track, get work done, and meet deadlines without someone breathing over your shoulder all day.

  • Are an absolute boss. You listen to what a client wants, but aren’t afraid to push back and help them see what they actually need.

  • You are confident leading meetings and making sure action items arising from them get done.

Qualifications

  • Proficient in using software applications and tools relevant to operations management.
  • Knowledge of trust accounting and regulations within the legal industry is a plus.
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in running businesses, setting up and customizing software, or legal industry experience.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities, with a keen eye for detail.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively across different teams and levels of the organization.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to identify problems, propose solutions, and implement process improvements.
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Expectations

  • $25-$35/hr to start, depending on your experience.
  • Contracted freelance arrangement for training, with full time employment commencing as soon as you are certified in our main partner software (approximately one month).
  • Flexibility. Although you will be required to work "business hours", the exact shift times can be negotiated, as well as the ability to take flex hours and make them up on evenings and weekends, if that's your jam.
  • $1,000 cash bonus if you are certified within the first month, $500 if within the second.

How to Apply

If you are a highly motivated individual with a passion for optimizing operational processes and driving business growth, we would love to hear from you. Please complete this form, and if we think it's a good fit, we'll be in touch to schedule an interview!
