Reporting to Head, General Manager Canada, the Lead, Forecast Analyst is responsible for designing, building, and managing multiple business-critical capabilities for Amylyx in Canada. This includes collaborating with IT to support a strategy for Business Intelligence, building KPI dashboards to provide up-to-date insights to all levels of the organization including executive leadership. This position will play a key role in providing on-going insightful narratives on drivers and barriers of performance. This is a critical role to enable Amylyx to measure its efforts and to identify opportunities to better drive adoption and optimize the success of the company’s products through the generation of deep insights.
This role will need to work effectively across key functions within Canada and across the Globe to ensure alignment, as well as support, for how the Canadian organization links back to the broader Amylyx organization. This person will also act as a strategic partner to all functions in Canada to other parts of the organization, including Patient Services, to help establish BI capabilities and drive organizational insights.
Primary Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with the IT team, providing requirements to create the data infrastructure necessary to implement the strategy and to generate actionable insights and build data models supporting activities
  • Build and maintain dynamic KPI dashboards to address executional, operational, and performance related questions
  • Deliver and lead regular performance insights report to senior leadership
  • Support other data requirements such as Comp planning, inventory and forecasting support
  • Manage multiple partners to produce deliverables on strategy within timelines and budget
  • Partner cross functionally with Sales, Medical, Marketing, Market Access, Field Operations, Patient Services and other functions to identify, recommend, develop and implement strategies, plans and tactics that optimize the success of the company’s commercial products
  • Provide Quarterly Business Review framework to assimilate and evaluate brand performance across the Canadian organization
  • Partner with stakeholders to define critical business questions and define insights and analytics approach to investigate and provide answers/guidance to support decision making
  • Define how the business can create additional value through taking multiple data points and transferring those into actionable insights/analysis for the Canadian team.
  • Collaborate and develop high quality effective analytic support and insightful KPI delivery
  • Build the Canada insights and analytics capabilities including infrastructure and processes to support the launch of Albrioza in Canada
Minimum Required Education, Experience And Skills
  • Pharmaceutical launch experience preferred
  • Must thrive working in a fast-paced, innovative environment while remaining flexible, proactive, resourceful and efficient
  • Understanding of forecasting and building a P&L
  • Ability to travel approx. 20% of time
  • Pharmaceutical/Biotech or Lifesciences experience a must
  • Requires a BA with 8+ years of relevant sales effectiveness, business intelligence, forecasting, Financial Planning & Analysis or insights & analytics experience
  • Experience analyzing and visualizing data from a broad range of data sources (specialty pharmacy dispense/status data, specialty distributor data, patient services data, payer claims/formulary status data, CRM data, etc.)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, ability to develop important relationships with key stakeholders, good conflict management and negotiation skills, ability to analyze complex issues to develop relevant and realistic plans and recommendations
  • Excellent oral, written, and presentation skills--able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences
  • Global experience a plus
  • Demonstrated ability to partner with IT on development of reporting layer within a data warehouse
  • Advanced knowledge & application of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, etc.)
  • Demonstrated proficiency in developing dashboards in business intelligence tools (e.g. Tableau, PowerBI, QlikSense)
