Lab Technician Jobs

Adecco is currently hiring for a temporary, full-time Laboratory Sampling Technician, to work a long-term contract at a well-established integrated oil and natural gas company, in Christina Lake, AB. In this role, you will perform sampling tasks throughout the plant site, field and off-sites of varying matrixes to support critical and core analysis in support of the company's operation, ensuring these samples are representative of the source.

• Job type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent | long-term contract Here's why you should apply:
• Perform routine and non-routine chemical analysis
• Valid Class 5 Driver's license and a clean driving record are required
• Record all maintenance, adjustments, and calibration activities
• Location: Christina Lake, AB |Transportation provided from various departure points including Air service from Edmonton and Calgary
• Must have outstanding communications skills and uses effective listening skills
• Perform routine instrument maintenance
• Ensure lab activities are completed and documented on a regular basis
• Should have a working knowledge of environmental field sampling, testing and related protocols
• Perform QC/QA checks according to established methodology, CTQ, and QMS
• Data entry into LIMS (SampleManager)
• Perform routine and non-routine physical analysis
• University science degree or technical diploma in Chemical Technology is required

• Pathway to permanent hire Duties and Responsibilities:
• Support lab operation, safety and environmental systems
• Ensure that proper documentation such as routine QA/QC is properly maintained

• Identify issues that impact safety, environment and/or production Requirements and Qualifications:
• Shifts: Rotating schedule |8 days on 6 days off | Fly in, Fly out
• Maintain both Operations satellite labs as well as the Main Lab by ensuring instruments are calibrated and chemical inventory is stocked
• Hires fast, pays weekly
• A fast learner who responds well to new situations that require stretch and growth
• Ensure proper safety protocols are in place and in practice when performing duties
• Responsible for consumable ordering and restocking; ensure supplies are kept up-to-date
• Receive and login samples into LIMS (SampleManager)
• Enter notes on QC/QA charts when appropriate, e.g. using a new Lot of standard
