Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a Junior Interior Designer at Gillian Segal Design you will be an integral part of our design team, supporting the creation of timeless and captivating interior spaces. Your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Maintain & organize the studio sample library.
  • Assist with material and furniture selection, vendor coordination, and sourcing of unique elements that align with the project’s design direction.
  • Administrative and office management tasks as requested to support the principal and GSD team
  • Create detailed 2D and 3D visualizations using industry-standard software to effectively communicate design concepts.
  • Collaborate with Senior Designers to prepare materials for client presentations
  • Develop and maintain detailed specification packages.


REQUIREMENTS

Our ideal candidate will have:

  • Positive attitude and desire to work collaboratively within a team
  • Proficiency in AutoCad, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • 3+ years of experience in interiors or architecture and a degree or diploma from an accredited school.
  • Knowledge of the full design process including Concept, Schematic, Design Development, Construction Documentation, Construction Administration, Procurement, and Installation.
  • Passion for design and an eye for detail.
  • Strong initiative, communication and organizational skills
