As a Content Creator/Writer you will partner with our Sponsor Marketing squads in Individual Insurance Canada to create marketing campaigns from concept to delivery across a variety of channels. You will be responsible for producing high-quality, engaging, and informative content and creative that aligns with the Manulife brand and the target audiences of our sponsor clients. You will work closely with our cross functional Agile squad team members, marketing, and product to develop and execute user-tested and validated campaign strategies that help drive business results. This is a digitally focused, fast-paced, changing environment where every day brings something new, and innovative ideas are encouraged!


As a Content Creator/Writer You Will Need To


  • Collaborate with the squad on testing and validation of content to make insights driven recommendations.
  • Deliver a consistently high quality of creative copy and marketing ideas and approaches
  • Create high-quality, engaging and informative content for online and offline channels, including but not limited to integrated multi-tactic campaigns, emails, e-newsletters, B2B and B2C videos, articles, social media and blog posts, print ads, direct mail campaigns and more.
  • Participate in working sessions, contribute creative ideas, and identify opportunities to continue to elevate our marketing efforts.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends, customer preferences, and competitor activities to help inform your work.
  • Present ideas with confidence and impact, backed by validation and key insights to Product Owner and key stakeholder groups.
  • Develop and execute content and copy that aligns with campaign objectives and strategies, including lead generation, retention, up sell/cross sell, winback, loyalty and awareness programs.
  • Collaborate with subject matter experts, marketing and product, and other team members.
  • Monitor and analyze content performance metrics such as page views, engagement rates, click-through rates, and conversions to drive business results and help inform future strategies.


As a Content Creator You Have


  • Knowledge of AI prompts or keen interest in use of AI for copywriting/ content generation an asset
  • 1-4 years of experience in content creation.
  • Experience in B2B and B2C communications an asset
  • A Bachelor's degree or Diploma in journalism, marketing, communications, or a related field.
  • Experience in the financial services and insurance sector an asset
  • Strong relationship and team-building skills
  • Excellent writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen eye for detail and accuracy
  • Proficiency in SEO and digital marketing best practices.
  • A positive attitude with and an “own it” mindset
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively, manage multiple projects and deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
  • Experience with social media marketing, email marketing, and other digital marketing channels.
  • Research and analytical skills, including the ability to interpret data and draw actionable insights.

Salary & Benefits


The annual base salary for this role is listed below.


Primary Location


Toronto, Ontario


Salary range is expected to be between


$51,525.00 CAD - $85,875.00 CAD

The actual salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
