THE OPPORTUNITY

Sr. Copywriter (Bilingual; EN/FR)

We're looking for a Sr. Copywriter who thrives on new ideas in a way that makes them different, impactful and fun. This person has a good grasp of the history of the relationship between product, consumers and their lifestyle. The Sr. Copywriter sees things from different angles and loves to communicate their vision to others. Their originality shines though in their work and they excel in a team where idea come from all sides, and everyone is heard. They love to collaborate and are always looking to create a compendium of ideas to make them shine in flawless executions. The ideal candidate has experience writing scripts, and has worked on projects for radio, TV, and social media. They also know how to adapt to product changes along the way. The Sr. Copywriter must have experience adapting English to French, and have on-set/in-studio experience.

In this role you will

• Work on campaigns for TV, radio, OLV and more
• Use your excellent communication skills
• Lead recording sessions, be involved in multiple aspects (i.e. casting)
• Be a positive influence on your colleagues
• Present the projects created by you/the team to both colleagues and clients
• Be creative
• Use your knowledge of the auto industry, as well as current marketing and advertising trends

You have

• The ability to adapt your writing style to different targets
• A college or university degree in a field relevant to the position
• Full fluency in both English and French (thorough knowledge of French grammar and spelling a must)
• On set experience (TV and radio)
• A passion for advertising and the auto industry (an asset)
• Experience presenting to colleagues and clients
• Leadership skills and a strong team spirit
• Ability to oversee a creative team, to break down project deliverables and monitor progress
• A portfolio showcasing experience in writing various scripts, adaptation, transcreation and advertising translation within an advertising agency
