About the role:
This position will work closely with various equities front office traders as a member of a highly skilled, agile development team. We are building systems for SBL business, used by trading desks across the globe and we are seeking a dedicated professional who is a team player, self-motivated, and who achieves technological excellence in short timescales.
This is an extremely hands-on, delivery-focused, technical position involving a lot of analysis, coding, testing and interfacing with business users. A good knowledge of SBL Trading is highly desirable but a thirst for knowledge and the knack to apply that knowledge is just as good to us. There will be a high degree of teamwork and technical peer interaction involved
Responsibilities:

• Help consult on business requirements with specific input around technology capability and limitations
• Work closely with the business in London, Hong Kong, New York and other centers on a day to day basis and co-ordinate with teams to ensure that the business and project needs are met.
• Help maintain and improve the stability and reliability of our production environments
• Develop and deliver to production small non breaking iterative change that provides business value

Requirements

• Exposure Investigation and Resolution and performance testing
• Current hands-on experience in Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, PostgreSQL& Mongo database
• Experience in delivering solution through Agile methodology - and DevOps tooling such as JIRA, Maven, Ansible etc
• Strong business sense with good understanding in how IT systems impact business objectives
• Java/JEE design and development skills. Must have strong analysis (both requirements and system), design skills and architecture disciplines
• Previous working experience with equity derivatives and equities knowledge is plus
