Itad Technician (Afternoon Shift)

Location: Brampton

Shift: Afternoon Shift (3:00 pm - 11:30 pm)

Job Summary

The ITAD/Computer Technician (for Ecomms team) is responsible for sorting, configuring, testing, troubleshooting, repairing and refurbishing laptops and other electronic equipment as required, and performing inventory control including Approved Certified Data Destruction (CDD) of cell phones. They will also be responsible for wiping/destroying drives as per Client specs and SOW requirements, as well as palletizing electronic equipment. (PCs, laptops, printers, removable disks, monitors etc.)

The position

• Lifting and moving up to 20 lbs. regularly.
• Change out hardware for the device (physical component)
• Install, remove operating systems on devices.
• Evaluate the operation of electronic components using the software provided.
• Perform data sanitization and factory reset.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot product faults, and adjust, replace, or repair.
• Test, analyze, diagnose, and repair all existing and incoming laptops, printers, mobile and other electronic devices parts/components to ensure products are fully functional.
• Change RAM (install physical component)
• Inspect parts ensuring quality compliance.

Your Qualifications & Abilities

• Attention to detail and ability to work under pressure
• Ability to work independently and manage time effectively
• Experience performing troubleshooting, diagnostics, repair and testing on various mobile products, including Android, iPhones, and iPads.
• Flexible, fast learner with the ability to multitask
• Experience with laptops, desktops, and iPads/tablets
• Minimum High School graduate
• Strong technical background in electronics.
• Experience in repairing wireless products from cosmetic changes, screens, batteries, internal components, software, flashing and unlocking.
