It Administrator - Linux - Email Operations Team

This position reports to the IT Manager and the Manager of Email Marketing. The Email Marketing IT Administrator is a key player in our email program and is responsible for strategy, execution, optimization, and reporting.

You will work across both our IT and Development teams to further optimize and scale our email marketing operations.

The successful candidate will be able to work at both strategic and tactical levels working to bring campaigns to life to drive our internal KPI’

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic statistical analysis and make basic computational calculations
• Regularly monitor and apply for removal from all Email Blacklists (Sorbes, SpamHaus etc)
• Configure DNS, Iptables, web services (such as FTP) , MySQL database, and email services as required
• Familiarity with Email Deliverability best practices and various ISP email filtration systems
• Experience configuring and maintaining an MTA an asset but not required.
• Regularly monitor all the critical services, performance of company email servers including monitoring of CPU, disk space, memory utilization.
• Experienced in setting up, administering Linux servers and its configurations
• Work closely with email production teams to convey mailing instructions, template, segmentation, suppression, tracking tags, QA timelines, etc.
• Familiarity with various sending protocols including SMTP and API transmissions/injections.
• Good understanding of how DNS operates and be able to configure SPF, DMARC and DKIM
• Strong problem solving and communication skill
• Configuring servers to host our email application (Mautic) and integrate, and optimize it with email relay services like Amazon SES and Sparkpost
• Possess 5 years of hands-on experience in a Redhat, Ubuntu or CentOS environment
• Familiar with the usage and installing of applications of Linux systems
• Assist with the Setup and maintenance of our in house VPN systems, proxy clients and servers.
• Experience with the server side of email handling
• Create and manage automated processes in marketing automation platform.
• Diploma/ Bachelor degree and above in Computer Science
