Inventory/ Quality Coordinator Jobs

SCOPE OF POSITION:

The Inventory/Quality Control Coordinator is responsible for ensuring that inventory movements are correctly transacted, that inventory is accurately recorded, verified and maintained in the computer in a timely manner and also that purchased product conforms to and meets Alexandria’s needs and that of Alexandria’s customers. The incumbent will also be responsible for investigating problems, issues and concerns and implementing corrective actions, conducting internal audits and facilitating improvement and countermeasures as they relate to inventory management.

Job Duties and Essential Functions:

• Maintain inventory accuracy.
• Lead and organize Physical Inventory and cycle counts, and reconcile discrepancies upon completion of the count process.
• Manage inventory location.
• Investigate and determine the causes of inventory discrepancies in day-to-day inventory transactions.
• Load and test software for RF inventory tracking system.
• Maintain/arrange picking locations, ensuring ERP system reflects these locations.
• Manage Distribution Centre work orders, control the issue & receipt of material.

• Where should inbound inventory be stocked

• Ensure inventory levels in the DC by moving material.

• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Research and identify areas where quality, technologies and/or procedures should be improved to further enhance the company’s capabilities
• Identify and report problematic areas causing sub-standard levels of quality.
• Maintain quality assurance NCR database.
• Maintain, measure and report on assigned key performance indicators (KPI)
• Contain suspect material while ensuring an adequate supply of acceptable material to support customers.
• Liaise with customer service to investigate all customer complaints.
• Perform daily quality testing.
• Monitor and inspect finished products, ensuring all quality standards are met.
• Inspect and audit incoming finished material at the receiving dock.
• Assign and manage replenishing of bins.

Skills/Requirements:

• Knowledge of 5s is an asset.
• Knowledge of quality systems
• Knowledge of ERP software systems
• CPIM Certification or on track to be certified a definite asset.
• Minimum 3 years in a Supply Chain role in a distribution environment is preferred
• Basic knowledge of RF inventory tracking systems
• Post-secondary education and/or equivalent experience in a related field
