Inventory Officer Jobs

We are seeking a Inventory Officer to join our client’s team in La Salle, MB.

The successful candidate will be primarily responsible for overseeing equipment parts and inventory, ensuring availability, timely deliveries and providing exceptional customer service. The candidate will also be responsible maintaining accurate inventory records, coordinating inbound and outbound shipments, sourcing and procuring equipment and parts, and collaborating with mechanics for regular inspections and servicing.

The ideal candidate must have some experience in inventory and stock management, and a valid class 5 driver's license..

What you bring

• Mechanical knowledge of construction equipment
• 2 years' experience in a mechanical environment with construction equipment
• Meticulous approach to inventory tracking
• Strong inventory management, shipping & receiving, and purchasing skills
• Familiarity with inventory management software like Sage
• Familiarity with automotive and truck industry
• Strong organizational abilities
• Excellent communication and customer service skills

What you do

• Maintain accurate records of all equipment, tools, and spare parts in the inventory system. Conduct physical counts to reconcile stock levels and ensure data accuracy.
• Negotiate with suppliers to obtain competitive pricing and favorable terms.
• Utilize mechanical expertise to identify equipment specifications, work with team to troubleshoot technical issues, and provide insights for equipment replacement.
• Proficiently use inventory management software, specifically Sage, to record, track, and manage inventory data efficiently.
• Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments of machines, equipment, and parts. Verify and inspect incoming goods to ensure they meet quality standards.
• Interact with customers professionally to address inquiries, process orders, and provide product information. Resolve issues correctly and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Source and procure necessary equipment, parts, and supplies in a cost-effective and timely manner.
• Collaborate with mechanics and technicians to understand equipment maintenance needs and schedule regular inspections and servicing.
