Your Role


In this role, you will be responsible for processing orders, email or other electronic communication. You will respond to customer order and quotation requests received via national account managers, telephone, e-mail. You will also, coordinate with other departments in handling purchase orders and providing service to customers.


Preferred Qualifications


  • Excellent communication ability to think outside the box.
  • Thorough knowledge of Oracle and minimum Excel and Word.
  • Good organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload.
  • Knowledge of construction products.
  • 3-5 years of sales experience min.


Major Tasks, Responsibilities, And Key Accountabilities


  • Provide sales support to existing national accounts by processing EDI orders received via EDI and other purchasing customer platforms.
  • Provide product pricing by consulting the price matrix and CSP.
  • Work together with key account managers, BM’S, shipping managers, and purchasing managers to ensure orders are fulfilled in a timely manner.
  • Resolve customer service issues. Tracks open sales orders.
  • Prepare and submits proposals. Generate written quotations.
  • Oversee Inventory levels in various regions for specific products for strategic accounts.
  • Performs follow-up to ensure timely shipment of materials and customer satisfaction.


Nature And Scope


  • Nature of work requires general supervision; exercises judgment. May be paired with a mentor. Work typically involves regular process checks or reviews of output by a coworker and/or supervisor.
  • Works in compliance with established procedures and/or protocols. Identifies and resolves readily identifiable, clearly defined problems. Demonstrates skill in data analysis and techniques by resolving missing/incomplete information and inconsistencies/anomalies in routine research/data.
  • May provide general guidance/direction to or train junior-level support personnel.


Work Environment


  • Typically requires overnight travel less than 10% of the time.
  • Most of the time is spent sitting in a comfortable position and there is frequent opportunity to move about. On rare occasions, there may be a need to move or lift light articles.
  • Located in a comfortable indoor area. Any unpleasant conditions would be infrequent and not objectionable.


Education And Experience


  • Generally 0-2 years of experience in a related field OR MS/MA and generally 0-1 year of experience in a related field.
