Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer

We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer to join an early stage Y-Combinator backed team building a low latency trading platform allowing traditional institutional investors to trade in the DeFi space compliantly, securely and cross chain.

The platform provides a terminal giving access to a security verified range of DeFi pools, cross protocol and chain, and allowing seamless and secured money movement between these, taking the complexity out of trading cross chain, and allowing institutional investors to focus on what they do best.

The team are well funded, with a long runway and solid partner base.

You will lead and guide security and privacy initiatives, building security process and infrastructure from the ground up, from threat modelling on zero trust infrastructure, to cloud and container security, through to architecting infrastructure supporting low-latency, real time trading systems. Whilst initially an IC position, your role will shift as the team grows, having a massive impact on what security infrastructure looks like and the products overall success.

We are seeking a Lead Infrastructure Security Engineer with:

• A strong infra security or DevSecOps engineering background, with experience leading security initiatives
• Coupled with excellent knowledge of cloud infrastructure, and particularly cloud security, in an AWS environment
• Experience working in scale up teams (preferably Seed through to Series B)
• Demonstrable experience working in a Node.js application environment, preferably working with Node.js applications at scale

Salary: $160,000 - $220,000 (USD) plus equity

Location: Fully Remote across Canada
