Job Description

This is a paid Co-op Position - Fall Term SEPT - DEC 2023

SPECIFIC JOB DUTIES INCLUDE:

  • Perform hardware, software, and network troubleshooting.
  • Proactively help improve internal systems and procedures.
  • Direct unresolved issues/escalate to the next level of support personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.
  • Provide support and troubleshoot for Windows 10/11, printers, RF scanners, and mobile devices (IOS)
  • Provide professional and courteous customer service to all employees.
  • Gather feedback and suggestions from employees to improve service.
  • Manage support ticket queue and ticket SLA.
  • Setup new hardware including computers, workstations, network devices, and mobile devices.
  • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers.
  • Setup new accounts and desktops environments for onboarding employees

WHAT YOU NEED TO BRING:

  • Understanding of the Microsoft Windows operating system.
  • Positive attitude with an eagerness to learn new technology and advance yourself.
  • Knowledge of cyber security solutions and security training is an asset.
  • Knowledge of servers, networking and active directory are a must.
  • Availability to work after-hours on occasion; if/when urgent requests occur.
  • Ability to keep detailed notes, update and close service tickets.
  • Working toward IT related education/degree, industry certifications
  • Experience installing and maintaining Office 365 environments.
  • Proactive disposition; focus on customer service and communication skills.

EXTRA POINTS IF YOU POSSESS PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE OR KNOWLEDGE OF:

  • Warehouse scanners and WMS.
  • Managing mobile devices in an MDM system/toolset.
  • Cyber security and anti-intrusion systems.
  • Oracle NetSuite, CRM and Power BI.
