The Position
- On the basis of identified business needs be responsible for establishing fit-for-purpose user requirements and any related documentation as required by Computerized System Validation (CSV), agile frameworks (Scrum, Scaled Agile Framework) or Project Management Methodology
- Actively engage with the IT Business Partner, Product Manager and Subject Matter Experts to drive requirements analysis and determine priority and business value
- Drive cross functional teamwork by collaborating with Business Analysts within Chapter and across Roche to continuously harmonize and further develop skills and working practices specific to the BA capability
- Contribute to all areas of system implementation including but not limited to vendor interaction, system configuration, change control, qualification, deployment and training
- Strive for harmonization of business processes across functions, departments and sites by propagating common standardized data models, applications and technologies that are in line with the cross-functional or functional Informatics strategies and architectures
- Work with project teams to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements such as GxP, Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA), Clinical Laboratory Improvement Amendments (CLIA), Health Level 7 (HL7) as well as internal policies and processes
- Collaborate with business and informatics stakeholders to identify business needs, lead the business case development for new initiatives including high level solution options and resource estimates. Support the business partner and IT Business Partner to obtain project approval from portfolio committees
- Translate business strategy into Informatics context and work with IT Product Managers, IT Business Partners and IT Architects to develop enhancement proposals and roadmaps that support the strategy
- Customer-focused, excelled at relationship-building using effective communication and presentation skills
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation and presentation skills with the ability to motivate and inspire assigned business units
- Exhibits Lean-Agile mindset; strong Business Analysis skills with the prospect of taking a Product Ownership role
- Skilled in gathering requirements, analyzing and documenting business needs, business processes, etc
- Able to formulate the business problem, business process modeling, understanding of GDPR regulation, and User Experience concepts
- Bachelor’s or an Advanced Degree in Information Technology, Life Sciences and/or a related discipline
- Strong team player, with a perspective that goes beyond his/her immediate area of responsibility
- Previous experience in biotechnology/life science industry is a plus
- Flexibility to travel up to 25% of time including outside of home country
- 5+ years in Business Analysis, Project Management, Project Lead, Product Ownership or Product Management
- AWS cloud, Snowflake, SQL skills are a plus
- Demonstrated success working in complex, globally-matrixed organizations
