The Implementation Manager - Provisioning Services plays a vital role in ensuring network connectivity in all our National Branches are provisioned, reliable and operationally supported. The key to success for this role is business acumen, flexible delivery of services, strong co-ordination skills, vendor management and a trustworthy personality.


This is a role that is looked at as first contact for the business and requires building strong business and vendor relationships. The candidate must personify as someone the business wants to work with. There is a high degree of co-ordination with our selected vendors who provide network circuits, power and network cabling including the physical installation of network gear and peripheral devices.


This includes working closely with Bayshore financial teams, vendors and business partners to ensure accurate invoicing and billing of the different branch services being provided. This position will join a team responsible for corporate Networking that is part of a larger team providing Infrastructure Services to Bayshore.


The Implementation Manager - Provisioning Services reports directly to the Manager, Network and Branch Services.


Key Responsibilities


Branch Location Management: Collaborate with senior business and branch location managers to determine timelines and requirements for branch, new setups, relocations, expansions, and shutdowns. Ensure timely provisioning of network circuits/hardware, and branch location Infrastructure preparation to support their business.


Vendor Management: Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors to procure network equipment, circuit connectivity and location preparation services. Negotiate contracts and service-level agreements to ensure cost-effective, timely delivery with quality. Schedule vendor on-site installation services in alignment with established timelines.


Budget Review: Track and manage costs for provisioning services, ensuring cost control.


Issue Resolution: Act as an escalation point for any provisioning issues, working closely with Bayshore technical teams and vendors to resolve issues within agreed upon SLAs.


Reporting and Analytics: Track provisioning activities and maintain branch location circuit inventory and report as required to senior management.


Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, such as IT Operations, Infrastructure and Finance to align provisioning decisions.


As the first contact for business on all Branch requests such as new location setup, moves, expansion and closing.


  • Procurement of branch hardware such as HP Aruba LAN switches, Wireless IAP’s, MFP devices and multimedia devices.
  • Operates with a business entity focus. Is cognizant of the direct and indirect impact that all decisions and actions have on the business and responds with professional respect and courtesy.
  • Request quotes for location business circuits appropriate to the type of business services being provided at the location.
  • Build a business first relationship to become the first contact and GoTo person providing technical co-ordination for all Branch provisioning request.
  • Be responsible for the financial management of the technical aspects by tacking quotes against invoices and ensuring costs are accurate and monthly recurring costs are charged back to the business accordingly.
  • Organize vendors on scheduling site surveys, network hardware setup and data cabling.
  • Solid co-ordination and task management approach to confirm requirements and engage delivery vendors accordingly to accommodate and meet business timelines.


This role has a strong technical aspect supporting and provisioning branch services


Strong technical background in network setup provisioning and support of the following


  • Wireless local lan networks
  • Switch and IAP configuration
  • Access Switch local lan networks
  • Telephony
  • Print services and printer setup
  • Fax Analogue connectivity


Other technical aspects that require a strong understanding of include


  • Ensuring installation vendors provide physical network and power cabling that align with industry defined standards
  • Vendor demarc routers
  • Wan connectivity across multiple communication vendors
  • Centralized network device management and configuration of all branch network devices
  • Pre-testing and shipping of branch required hardware to and from our Canadian branches
  • Branch circuit diversity and redundancy
  • Branch circuit technologies such as LTE, Fibre, Internet modem, analogue


Location : Mississauga, Bayshore Healthcare, National Services Center (Hybrid)


Education


  • University degree in the field of telecommunications, networking or computer science and/or 10 years equivalent work experience in a similar capacity.


Experience


  • Working technical knowledge of Firewall rules, network security and active directory
  • 5-8 years’ experience provisioning and supporting networks and networking devices
  • Experience managing financial aspects related to network services
  • 3-5 years working in a customer facing role with a high degree of co-ordination.
