Immediate Private Tutor Jobs

We are currently looking for a summer academic tutor who can provide personalized educational support to students outside of the traditional classroom setting. As a tutor, you will primarily teach on Zoom but may also require some in-person meetings.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining accurate student progress records and sharing them with the appropriate parties.
• Helping students prepare for tests and exams like IB and AP exams and developing study strategies to improve their test-taking skills.
• Setting up Zoom and meeting links.
• Preparing and delivering lessons tailored to students' learning goals, abilities, and interests.
• Communicating with parents to ensure the student's academic success.
• Staying up-to-date on the latest educational practices and technologies to provide the most effective instruction possible.
• Assessing the needs and learning style of the student to develop a personalized learning plan.
• Monitoring the student's progress and adjusting the learning plan as needed.
• Providing feedback and guidance to the student to help them improve their academic performance.

To be considered for this position, you must meet the following minimum requirements:

• Patience and empathy.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Proficiency in reading, writing, and speaking in English
• Excellent communication skills.
• Excellent communication and teaching skills
• Strong knowledge and expertise in the subject matter you are teaching.
• Ability to customize learning plans.
• Minimum 2 years of teaching experience in the target subject.
• Ability to commit a minimum of 10 hours/week.
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Flexibility and adaptability.

Compensation:

• Additional bonuses for exemplary work/referrals
• You will be paid $15-$20 per hour
