We invest in real estate opportunities primarily in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) and Ontario’s Golden Horseshoe.
Our Products
Mortgage Investment Corporations (MICs) are pooled funds that invest in private mortgages on behalf of shareholders. They are one of the easiest ways for Canadian Investors to gain direct exposure to the private mortgage market. A MIC will hold a portfolio of carefully issued mortgages. The borrowers make their mortgage payments to the MIC, which in turn distributes the income to its investors. Unlike stocks, the MICs mortgages are secured by the underlying real estate and are not affected by the stock market’s daily ups and downs. It’s a lot of upside, with limited downside.

Overview Of Role
You will be an important member of our external Sales team leading the firm’s business development efforts and growing our client-base. You will be responsible for building long lasting relationships with prospecting clients through the Advisory Channels and the High-Net-Worth Client Channels. You will form strategic relationships with Centres of Influence (Accountants, Medical Professionals, Lawyers) in order to help promote our firm and our products.
Responsibilities
  • Meet in person with potential clients and educate them on the benefits of investing in MICs and partnering with our firm
  • Develop and manage a pipeline of prospective clients
  • Build long-term relationships with High-Net-Worth Clients
  • Manage on-going lead flow
  • Market the firm’s proprietary MIC products to prospective clients
  • Strategize with Senior Management on effective ways to grow assets under management
  • Build long-term relationships with Investment Advisors, Portfolio Managers and Financial Advisors
  • Prepare and deliver educational seminars on MICs
  • Develop and manage relationships with Centres of Influence (Accountants, Medical Professionals, Lawyers, etc)
Ideal Candidate
You are a motivated sales professional who enjoys building long lasting relationships. With knowledge in traditional and alternative investment products, you can clearly articulate the benefits of our MIC products and identify new business opportunities for the firm.
Requirements
  • Completion or willingness to complete the Exempt Market Proficiency Course (EMP)
  • Exempt market sales experience is an asset
  • Licensed as a Dealing Representative or willingness to become licensed as a Dealing Representative
  • Strong track record of success in sales and increasing assets under management
  • Established network of Advisors and/or High Net Worth Clients
Compensation
Very attractive compensation package that includes a base salary and an incentive-based commission package. Compensation varies greatly based on experience and qualifications.
