Group Leader - Product Specialists - Digital Solutions


Position Requirements Summary


CAE Healthcare is seeking a Group Leader – Product Specialist - Digital Solutions. As a leader in healthcare simulation, we are seeking a motivated and action-oriented professional to support the LearningSpace product portfolio, drive client solution design, drive revenue, margin, customer satisfaction and manage the Product Specialist team.


Position Responsibilities:


Manage the Product Specialist (PS) Group:


  • Define guidelines and create policies regarding FAQ question from the sales team, share it with the PS Team.
  • Define and improve product demonstrations based on new and amended features, educate the SSM and PSS teams, ensure the quality of the demos and technical knowledge.
  • Set good examples by holding themselves to CAE Code of business conduct, to the standards of conduct and performance that they demand of their employees.
  • Advise PSS team members on architecture and design of solutions to be delivered and ensure accuracy for customer. Take lead in resolving difficult technical situations on big deals.
  • Support the training process to ensure that the team continuously meets the job requirements.
  • Review and approve the expense claims and travel plans.
  • Support talent management programs to compensate, coach, appraise and train personnel.
  • Provide leadership and support for LearningSpace Product Specialist Team.
  • Oversee and pro-actively monitor the Opportunities of every PS team member.
  • Create and foster teamwork among employees and set work goals and standards for employees.
  • Manage professional interaction and collaboration between SSM and PSS teams with Digital MoS.
  • Depending on the business requirements, additional duties may be assigned.


Contribute to the development of the product strategy:


  • Assist with the development of and adherence to the product roadmap. Requires coordination with development team.
  • Focus the team on revenue, customers, and quality.
  • Work closely with product management to ensure they maintain salesforce and Deltek parts to be able to architect solutions for customers accurately.
  • Work with engineering / project management to deliver the product on time and on budget.
  • Know the product, the market and the competitors extremely well and operate on the strong basis of knowledge and confidence.
  • Work together with various organizations to deliver the right product the right time
  • Assist with Contribute to the development of alternative and new pricing strategies for existing solutions and as LearningSpace moves to SaaS approach. Manage PSS knowledge of those strategies.
  • Contribute to the development of the product marketing strategy and support sales activities with TSMs, SSMs and PSSs.
  • Support the product life cycle with product management including obsolescence.


Support sales activity:


  • Create FAQs, conduct presentations and white papers that can be leverage by the sales team (sales tools).
  • Manage relationship with 3rd party AV partners, and negotiate technical agreements to best deliver for customers. Ensure clear responsibilities in delivery.
  • Communicate marketing plan including campaigns to the PSS team.
  • Define and communicate market positioning (key message), match competitive features and pricing.
  • Write positions on important issues (competitive silver bullets, tough product decision, markets to attack or yield).


Sales and product training activity:


  • Contribute to and support the creation and maintenance of sales training materials relating to LearningSpace.
  • Assist in the face-to-face training requirements and competency assessment of sales teams


Oversight of marketing strategies:


  • Contribute to identifying market segments, position the product and define key messaging for each segment.
  • Create marketing collaterals (text).
  • Contribute to product launches and campaigns with various stakeholders.
  • Manage promotional costs.


MINIMUM QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:


  • Associate college degree in related field of study.
  • Computer literacy is essential. Must be proficient in Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Experience with a CRM system.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team and cross functional environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills including strong presentation and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Organized and detail oriented individual with a proven ability to manage and prioritize multiple responsibilities and projects.
  • 3-5 years’ related experience.
  • Strong negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage relationships with key opinion leaders, Sales personnel and clients.
  • Ability to identify strategic opportunities, set aggressive objectives and drive key business priorities.
  • Must be able to travel 30%.


PREFERRED:


  • Experience in a similar product management, marketing, product specialist, account manager or business development role, in the healthcare simulation industry.
  • Previous healthcare or medical device field sales or sales support experience is an asset.
  • Salesforce or other major CRM proficiency.
  • Postgraduate training in marketing and business strategy preferred (i.e. MBA).
  • Experience in healthcare simulation is highly desired for this role.
  • Experience selling or marketing of AudioVisual products.
