Job Description

Description:

We are in need of a freelance Branding Designer to help develop the brand identity for a Holiday Immersive Experience Event. We have already established the core concept of the

event, including a basic storyline, key elements, and reference materials, but we are looking for

an experienced designer to translate these materials into a cohesive and engaging brand.

Objective:

Create a unique and memorable brand identity for Embers that effectively and engagingly

captures the holiday spirit of this parallel universe. The ideal outcome will include a complete,

high quality brand guideline that includes a comprehensive brand story and positioning (mission,

vision, values, and unique selling proposition), detailed logo usage guidelines, color palette,

typography, imagery, iconography, voice and tone, and visual elements that can be applied to

various marketing materials, both online and physically. The ultimate goal is to establish a

strong brand presence that resonates with our target audience and sets the stage for an

unforgettable event.

Experience:

The optimal candidate would be someone with experience in brand design, specifically for

events or experiential marketing campaigns. Previous experience in branding for "whimsical" or

"fantastic" events or products is highly desirable.

We're looking for a designer who has a deep understanding of the branding process and can

create visually striking designs that appeal to a wide range of audiences. Someone who can

effectively communicate the essence of our event through their design work and help us create

an everlasting impression for families.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) or other relevant design software.
  • Prior experience in creating brand identities for events, experiential marketing campaigns, or similar projects.
  • 5+ years of experience in branding design, with a portfolio demonstrating your capabilities and design sensibilities.
  • At least one example of prior branding experience with a large, well known company, to illustrate an understanding of developing materials for multiple outputs.
  • Self-starter who is genuinely motivated by immersive events, with the ability to contribute and work as part of a team in a highly collaborative and interdisciplinary environment.
