The Functional Lead will manage the elicitation of functional and technical requirements to support the design and development of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system D365, and other integrated systems. The Functional Lead is responsible for the configuration and solution design of application modules specific to different business areas by aligning system processes with business requirements. This individual will collaborate with internal and third-party developers and partners. The Lead will work closely with key stakeholders across the organization to map requests using the capabilities of the ERP system and solution for system gaps. Recommendations made by this position result in changes in methods, processes, system configurations, and operating procedures. Additionally, the Functional Lead will design systems and create functional technical design documents that allow for data sharing across the organization; design which is proven or validated by testing and post implementation reviews.


What You'll Do:


  • Collaborates with technical and subject matter experts to analyse trade-offs between usability and performance needs
  • Elicit, analyze, document, and validate functional and technical requirements, inputs and outputs to support application development, configuration activities and business reporting
  • Engage with solution architects and engineers to design and configure solutions
  • Review, analyze and define current/future state system processes and develop functional and technical specifications, diagrams, and flowcharts for identified development, system modifications, and implementation tasks
  • Develop test cases and test scripts and support the QA team in planning and executing the testing
  • Actively engage stakeholders to gain firsthand insight into operations and identify areas for improvements and efficiency gains
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Lead system solution design for all supply chain system processes
  • Develop and maintain technical documentation, including technical support procedures and reference materials
  • Document and present technical requirements via system and reporting design specifications and as-built documentation
  • Work with operational teams to validate technical processes and system performance
  • Develop content, as required, for training modules, deliver training, and provide and guidance to system users and department staff
  • Establish the accuracy, completeness, and relevance of functional and technical requirements to create viable specifications and acceptance criteria for solutions
  • Configure modules and platform workflows in their designated system
  • Promote knowledge transfer within the technology team and other business units
  • Maintain detailed knowledge of standard ERP processes in Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations, including those related to Transportation and Logistics
  • Facilitate system implementation and data migration tasks in support of projects
  • Understand data mapping and data flow within the supported systems
  • Design and configure end user reporting


Qualifications


Let's Talk About You:


  • Certification such as CBAP or PMI-PBA is preferred
  • 5+ years’ experience as a Functional Consultant or Analyst, implementing Supply Chain solutions in a technology role
  • Dynamics 365 Supply Chain Management Functional Consultant Associate certification is an asset
  • University Degree in computer science, information technology, engineering, or related field
  • Certification and/or training in Microsoft PowerBI, SQL, Azure, SharePoint are also an asset
