Job Description

Our Edmonton location is seeking an experienced Fuel Supervisor to support our diverse operations. This is a full-time position which requires 24 hour availability, 7 days per week. The successful candidates must be available to work shift work which includes days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.


Description


Reporting to the Base and Operations Manager, the Fuel Supervisor is responsible for overseeing and ensuring that all the facets of fuel operations are performed in a safe, efficient, and professional manner. This position also oversees and coordinates the quality assurance activities and processes for vehicles and equipment and works closely with the Tank Farm Supervisor to ensure operational continuity at the tank farms.


Responsibilities


  • Complete fuel operations administrative duties in a timely and efficient manner, including employee scheduling and timesheet approval.
  • Troubleshoot issues and address customer concerns/complaints in an effective, timely and professional manner, ensuring appropriate resolution for the company and customer.
  • Support and assist with ground handling, ramp operations and tank farm activities as required.
  • Maintain a tidy and orderly work area exhibiting pride in work performance and contributing to healthy and safe work environment.
  • Communicate changes in policy, procedures, products, services, or any other alterations that affect delivery of customer care.
  • Supervise fuel operations personnel, including participating in recruitment, training, time management, performance evaluations, and terminations.
  • Ensure the implementation of process improvements and corrective actions resulting from audits on handling, safety and security.
  • Ensure exceptional, courteous and respectful customer service.
  • Ensure that required supplies and equipment are available for fuel operations.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of fuel operations reporting requirements.
  • Develop and lead a high-performing fuel operations team in order to meet business objectives and customer expectations.
  • Ensure adherence to corporate, departmental and OH&S policies and procedures for fuel operations.
  • Comply with and participate in the Company’s Health & Safety programs and Quality Systems.
  • Coordinate and oversee Quality Systems processes and quality control activities for fuel operations, vehicles and equipment.
  • Coordinate and/or facilitate new hire and recurring training for fuel operations staff.
  • Plan and prioritize work for self and fuel operations staff.
  • Other duties as required.
  • Plan, design and perform fuel operations according to the standards set by the Company, including fuel movement and aircraft fuelling, movement, placement, and storage.


Qualifications And Experience


  • Class 3Q or Class 1 Driver's license
  • First Aid and CPR are an asset
  • Physical requirements include considerable use of your arms and legs, climbing, lifting 60lbs repeatedly, balancing, walking, stooping, and handling of materials
  • Minimum three years previous management experience with proven leadership abilities required.
  • Airport Security Clearance (RAIC)
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and positive team attitude
  • Effective planning, prioritization, and execution skills
  • Effective analytical and troubleshooting skills
  • Ability to work overtime, extended shifts, weekends, and general holidays
  • Able to work with minimal or no supervision
  • Clean Driver’s Abstract
  • Must be 18 years of age or older with a High school diploma or GED
  • Strong attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy
  • Ability to work in all types of inclement weather conditions
  • Minimum five years of experience in an aviation operational role required.
  • Effective verbal and written communicate skills
  • Understanding of mathematics and basic computer skills
  • Able to work collaboratively and productively as a member of the EFC Team
