Job Description

Our client is the largest producer of long steel in the Americas, with steel mills in surrounding areas. Currently they are looking for Forklift Operators in St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC

Candidates must have 6 months of experience.


Position: Forklift Operator

Location: St-Jean-sur-Richelieu, QC

Pay rate : $23.33/ hour + shift premium of $0.90/hour

Shift : Evening


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Perform tasks requiring a sustained and high degree of care and attention.
  • Place empty pockets on packaging media.
  • Perform simple and highly standardized work.
  • Perform tasks where situations are simple and work is done according to established procedures.
  • Place the hook pockets on the pallets for inventory.
  • Close and tie the filled pockets.
  • Clean around workstation.
  • Place the hook pockets on pallets and labels.
  • Must operate motorized mobile equipment.
  • Receive and unload the goods received.
  • Load hooks into cars, trucks or piles in inventory as required.


QUALIFICATIONS

  • Must have 6 months of forklift experience
  • Frequently, they have to kneel or bend over, work sitting for 60 to 90 consecutive minutes, or walk for short periods of less than 60 minutes at a time.
