Forklift Operator - Afternoon/Night Shift

Adecco is currently recruiting for a temporary to permanent, full-time Forklift Operator in Saint John, NB, to work at a well-established company majoring in the production and export of oil, gasoline and natural gas. In this role, you will be responsible for the rotation of inventory and loading/unloading of delivery vehicles. • Updates shipping loading/unloading board
• Job type: Full-time | Temporary to Permanent Duties and Responsibilities:
• Works with Radio Frequency Units for picking orders
• Promotes a safety culture in the workplace
• Performs routine visual inspections and maintains the upkeep of forklift equipment and work area
• Investigates the cause and corrective action for customer concerns as required
• Shifts: Night Shift | Monday to Thursday|2 pm to 12:30am
• Understands and complies with procedures for working with nonconforming/hold items
• Picks & ships orders
• Ensures all safety equipment (i.e.; wheel chocks) are in place before loading or unloading trailers
• Ensures the correct items are selected and placed safely onto trailers
• Contributes to the inventory control function by selecting aged stock when picking orders and participates in the counting of inventory as required
• Completes all applicable paperwork in a timely and accurate manner
• Location: Saint John, NB
• Analyzes the load pattern for palletized orders
• Use of Personal Protective Equipment is crucial for safety
• Performs other duties as assigned by a manager Requirements and Qualifications:
• Should follow all current Covid19 protocols
• Must be reliable and an excellent team player
• Completes required training on transportation of dangerous goods and adhere to regulations to ensure 100% compliance
• Forklift Operator training is required
• Strong Attention to detail - Ability to interpret order details and source proper skews/ labels in the warehouse
• Ensures placards are put on any trailer that requires them before loading
• Previous experience working within a warehouse setting is a must
• Pay rate: $17.93 / Hour
• Operates industrial forklifts to aid in the loading/unloading of palletized and non-palletized customer orders.
• Drug test & background check are required
