Forest City National Golf Club is a Member-friendly course. We are seeking a confident, enthusiastic and experienced Food and Beverage Manager to round out our spectacular team. The Food and Beverage Manager will oversee all many aspects of our operations including our restaurant, fine dining events, and celebrations in the banquet hall.
Tasks:
- Building working relationships with Members and Guests
- Staff hiring and training
- Collaboration with the Executive Chef and other management to create menus that offer diverse culinary options for our membership.
- To assist with all aspects of food and beverage in a restaurant setting
- Assist in Event Planning and running events/tournaments
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the restaurant and catering events ensuring exceptional service.
- Supervising a staff team of 20+ fostering a positive work environment and ongoing coaching and development opportunities
- Positive attitude to ensure a fantastic experience by each member and guest of Forest City National Golf Club
- Oversee inventory management, ordering and cost control - working closely with suppliers and vendors to negotiate pricing and ensure timely delivery of goods.
- Assist in the day-to-day functions of running a busy restaurant and banquet hall
- Scheduling of staff
Experience Required:
- Knowledge of POS system an asset
- Event Planning experience an asset
- Minimum of 5 years management experience in a fine dining or golf course setting
- Country Club/Golf Course experience an asset
Qualifications:
- Smart Serve
- College or University Degree one of the following: Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Event Planning, Golf Course Management.
