Financial Controller Jobs

We are currently seeking a motivated and entrepreneurial-minded Controller to join our team. The Controller will work closely with the President and accounting team to provide financial oversight and expertise.

Responsibilities

• Understanding of Corporate Taxes and GST ITCs on commercial and non-commercial activities
• Implement and oversee month-end accounting processes
• Preparation and filing of quarterly GST returns and rebate applications
• Prepare year-end tax schedules and aid external accountants with preparation of financial statements and tax returns
• Oversee full cycle accounting
• Develop and analyze financial reports for individual projects and overall strategic goals
• Develop financial models for ongoing use
• Oversee bookkeeper and assist in hiring additional accounting & administrative staff

Qualifications

• Experience preparing detailed budgets and forecasts
• CPA Designation with minimum 3 years of relevant experience
• Self-starting and the ability to excel in an undefined role
• Prior experience in construction and/or real estate preferred
