Halls Apple Market, located just outside of Brockville, is a vibrant on-farm retail store. We are well known for our
top-quality apples, delicious cider, baked goods, and unique offerings from our Farm boutique. As a key member of
our team, you will immerse yourself in the world of apples and engage with customers who share our passion.
Position Overview:
As the Farm Market Manager (FMM), you are essential to our retail store's daily operations. By leading through
action, you'll guide retail associates, create captivating displays, boost Halls' online presence, and implement
innovative marketing strategies. You'll cultivate a profound grasp of the Halls brand and products, coupled with a
comprehensive understanding of market operations.
This is a year-round, full-time role. Weekend shifts, especially during the harvest and Christmas seasons, will be
required.
Responsibilities:
Lead and motivate the team, ensuring all tasks are completed during each shift.
Serve as the primary point of contact for resolving customer concerns.
Oversee store opening and closing procedures.
Collaborate in farm activities and events.
Gain proficiency in all retail associate duties, including cashiering, restocking, product display, quality
maintenance, sanitation, and customer service.
Assist in training new hires.
Support preparation activities in our market bakery.
Manage staffing needs and create weekly staff schedules.
Implement pricing and credit policies.
Provide valuable insights and recommendations to enhance the Halls' brand, product assortment,
merchandising, and overall customer satisfaction.
Develop and execute new marketing strategies.
Create and manage engaging social media content and respond promptly to customer queries on social
platforms.
Qualifications:
Minimum of 2 years experience in retail or customer service.
Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills.
Professional demeanor with a strong sense of reliability and responsibility.
Strong time management abilities, capable of handling multiple priorities.
Self-motivated leader who can inspire others.
Possession of a valid Ontario drivers license.
