What qualifications do you need to join our team?
EDUCATION AND CERTIFICATION:
Graduation with a degree from a recognized post-secondary institution, with acceptable specialization in physics, geology, chemistry or some other science relevant to the position.
Note: The courses for the specialization must be acceptable and must have been taken at a recognized post-secondary institution, but not necessarily within a degree program in the required specialization.
EXPERIENCE:
EX.1 Experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team* with partners**, clients or consultants to develop or deliver environmental programs or projects.
*Multidisciplinary team such as, but not limited to: environmental consultants, archaeologists, engineers, contractors, project managers, contracting, finance, laboratory, or other.
**Partners can refer to, but is not limited to: other levels of government, Indigenous Peoples, public, non-government organizations, or other.
EX.2 Experience in reviewing, analyzing or applying legislation or policy relating to the environment. Such as: reviewing analytical data against standards, reviewing a Health and Safety Plan against regulations, or other examples.
EX.3 Experience in project management* practices such as scope development, schedule, budget development/control or risk management.
*Note: Experience can be from a personal or professional example of a project and does not need to be related to the environmental field.
EX.4 Experience reviewing reports and preparing written documents such as project summaries or project updates related to the environment.
