Entry Level Marketing Assistant

UW Mississauga is looking for an Entry Level Marketing Assistant to join our growing team. We specialize in the development of advertising and promotional marketing campaigns for our diverse client base. Our Mississauga based office is committed to helping our clients to build their brands’ equity. We do this through creating and executing promotional advertising events that create buzz and increase profitability among our clients’ target demographic.

As an Entry Level Marketing Assistant your main responsibility will be to assist the Advertising Account Manager and promotional sales team in the creation, implementation and execution of direct marketing & promotional strategies for advertising campaigns across the Mississauga area designed to fit specific clients' needs.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively identify new promotional techniques to increase brand loyalty and increased profit
• Display the promotional materials at on-site and in-store events, establish consumer connection and brand loyalty in a person-to-person interactive environment
• Assist in coordinating various types of on-site promotional sales techniques to stimulate demand for each client’s products/services/brands
• Assist the Advertising Account Manager and promotional sales team in creating cost-effective regional promotional solutions with a specialized scale to target a specific demographic and market

As an Entry Level Marketing Assistant, you will:

• Maintain excellent time management, professional customer service at all times, and be able to balance multiple projects and responsibilities.
• Listen, understand, and take quick action. Like all of us, customers just want someone to listen and help get their problems solved. You'll do both.
• Have the opportunity to engage in continuous professional development training sessions and participate in a dynamic team-based company culture.
• Process upgrades, downgrades, new product purchases, and facilitate delivery and installation efficiently and effectively.
• Assist customers in selecting the products and services that best suit their technology and communications goals and help to set up the account.

What You Need to Get Started:

• Excellent interpersonal skills, tact, and a track record of success with customer-facing roles
• Ability to handle pressure, prioritize, and multi-task during the course of a business day
• 1-2 years in a customer based role
• Enthusiasm and aptitude for learning new skills
• Tech-savvy, or the ability to pick up concepts quickly

Qualifications:

• Travel to on-site promotional advertising & marketing areas will be required
• Ability to balance multiple priorities and meet deadlines
• Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
• A university degree or college diploma in communications, marketing, public relations or a related field preferred
• Able to work at the speed of the business and meet tight deadlines
• Strong interpersonal skills and presentation skills
• Keen attention to detail and very process oriented
