Engineering Intern – Burlington, Ontario, Canada (INTERNSHIP Fall 2023/Spring 2024)

As an Engineering Intern, you will work on a variety of technical and engineering assignments including design, drafting, assembly, testing, analysis, and report writing under the guidance of professional engineers. Projects will be realated to your engineering discipline of study, solving problems related to automated welding, machining, and inspection of nuclear plant components.

Your Key Responsibilities/Qualifications

• Develop 3D models, detailed manufacturing drawings and bills of materials
• Assist with the development of test procedures for systems to ensure compliance with design specifications
• Identify suppliers of electro-mechanical components
• Support assembly and oversee the assembly of developed systems
• Interface with outside vendors for component selection, manufacturing, and assembly.
• Assist with the operation of the final tooling system in the customer facilities
• Support the development of component specifications and purchasing requests
• Design and optimization of systems

Who You Are

• Strong mechanical/electrical aptitude and knowledge
• Self-motivated and highly organized
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Proficient in 3D CAD modeling
• Knowledge of electronic equipment and computer hardware and software
• Mechanical, Mechatronics, or Electrical Engineering degree eligibility
• Excellent problem solving and time management skills
