Job Summary & Key Responsibilities

Work Assignment: INFO 6290 Managing Research Data

The sessional instructor will teach the elective Managing Research Data course ( INFO 6290) in the Master of Information (MI) program during the 2023 Fall term. The course is scheduled for one 3 hour period per week Tuesday’s from 11:30 to 2:30, September – December 2023, but could be taught online.

The instructor reports to the Director of the Program. Duties include, but are not limited to:

Responsibility for all aspects of teaching and administering the course, including lectures, active learning class sessions, assignment preparation and evaluation; availability for two hours per week for consultation with students. A syllabus for the course is available upon request.

Qualifications/Requirements Of Position

MI/ MLIS degree (or similar) and significant employment or research experience in working with research data. Prior graduate-level teaching experience in this area (or a similar area) would be an asset.

Salary Range/Pay Rate In accordance with CUPE Collective Agreement
