Job Title: Game Developer - Miniblox

As a Game Developer, your primary responsibility will be to work on the creation and enhancement of our game's features, ensuring an engaging and seamless user experience for our global community of players.

Role Summary

As our Game Developer, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on improving and expanding the Miniblox universe. Success in this role means maintaining high standards of code, enhancing the gameplay experience, and contributing innovative ideas that keep our game fresh and exciting for our users. In addition, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our game remains cutting-edge, competitive, and engaging in the rapidly-evolving world of online gaming.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and debug code for new and existing game features.
• Test and refine gameplay features throughout the development cycle.
• Perform performance optimizations in scripting, memory usage, and load times.
• Use agile methodologies to improve and enhance gameplay features.
• Participate in design and code reviews.
• Determine and develop user requirements for systems in production, to ensure maximum usability.
• Collaborate in the conception and iteration of game systems and features.
• Collaborate with designers and artists to bring game ideas to life.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Design, or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient with languages like JavaScript, HTML5 for browser-based games.
• Knowledge of the gaming industry and trends.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Comfortable with version control systems like Git.
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and a creative mindset.
• Knowledge of voxel-based game design and development.
• Previous experience in a game development role, specifically with voxel games is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with game engines such as Unity or Unreal.
