The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking a Co-op Student to join our Water and Wastewater Vertical Infrastructure department, located at our Thornhill office. Under the mentorship of intermediate and senior team members, you will work on a wide variety of Water & Wastewater projects for municipal and industrial applications ranging from conception to detailed design to completion of the project. This position will provide you with experience on preliminary and detailed engineering of various water and wastewater processes, an understanding of pumping stations hydraulic analysis, drawing preparation, site servicing, contract administration, and other related activities. Co-op students will also be provided networking opportunities with junior, intermediate, senior, and market sector leaders at WSP.

A day in the life:
  • Assist with preparing reports;
  • Prepare and review drawings; and
  • Assist with preparing technical analysis and design;
  • Other duties as assigned
What You'll Bring To WSP ...
  • Have shown leadership skills by participating in extra-curricular events and volunteer work.
  • Working knowledge of one or more of the following: AutoCAD, Microstation, Civil 3D, Revit;
  • Enrolled in Civil, or Chemical, or Environmental Engineering program; Excellent academic record;
  • Great communication skills, both verbal and written; and
  • Has an interest in the water and wastewater design, contract administration, and project management of municipal and industrial engineering projects;
