Engineering Capability Manager Jobs

We're currently looking to hire a Engineering Capability Manager.

What You Will Get to Do:

• Work with project teams to ensure project deliverables are on track
• Escalate appropriately to Engineering Management if needed
• Provide regular updates to Eng Management with regards to progress, risks, and resolutions on ongoing capital projects
• Support team in deployment of Project Management practices and tools and roll out excellence programs
• Monitor, Update and Document Control the Engineering SharePoint and assist in the collection and dissemination of information within the engineering team
• Continuously learn and develop the technical, project management and leadership skills needed to support a wide range of projects across the areas of Product Development
• Assist in reporting the monthly CAPEX review for all capital projects
• Facilitate alignment discussions between cross functional teams
• Manage the overall governance & project progress for all approved projects
• Responsible for efficient and effective capital project management.
• Maintain and provide monthly portfolio metrics reports.
• Ensure proper “governance”: (resources, milestones, and risks) are being followed for all capital projects
• Deploy overall governance, communication plans, and reporting requirements
• Provide critical insight, identifying risks and opportunities, timely analysis, and communication of trends in project delivery
• Establish project methodologies and ways of working for all capital projects
• Lead governance meetings and ensure all follow ups are complete

Recipe for Success:

• Must have strong computer (MS Office) and project management skills
• Professional Engineer
• 5 years’ experience in project management, preferably in the Food Manufacturing industry
• Strong analytical skills including troubleshooting and root cause analysis skills to effectively lead teams to quickly identify issues, causes and sustainable corrective actions
• Previous experience in lean manufacturing
• PMP
• Must have good communication skills to connect with different levels in the organization (senior management, engineering leaders and engineers)
• Must be able to handle fast paced environment with competing priorities and demands
• Highly organized and results oriented, with the ability to grasp general scientific and engineering principles.
• Completion of university degree in Engineering or a related field
