Emergency Response Guard Jobs

Securiguard is currently seeking Security Guards for Healthcare facilities in Durham Region, specifically in Ajax, Whitby, Oshawa, Port Perry, and Bowmanville.

The position available is focused on emergency response, starting the shift at a healthcare facility in Oshawa and potentially being deployed to five different healthcare locations within the Durham region.

In this role as a security guard, your primary responsibility will be ensuring the safety and security of patients and all other individuals involved in healthcare. You will be expected to respond to codes, conduct patrols, and provide essential support to healthcare staff.

We are specifically looking for licensed security guards who possess qualities such as patience, compassion, and empathy. It is important that guards are dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of both patients and staff members. Additional training, including Crisis Management, Effective Communications, Management of Resistant Behavior, Mental Health Awareness, and further healthcare training, will be provided.

Requirements

• Valid Security Guard License
• Strong communication skills in English
• Valid First Aid/CPR certificate
• Full-time availability (continental shifts)
• Customer service skills
• Basic computer skills
• Drivers License and access to a vehicle
• Police Foundations, Community Justice Services or Law Enforcement Diploma would be an asset
• Ability to complete accurate and detailed report writing
• Previous security experience in healthcare industry would be an asset
