Job Description

About the Job


Shoelace is expanding email as a service offering to its growing customer base. In this role, you’ll leverage your 2+ years of experience in digital marketing and particularly, your experience in email marketing to help our Email Marketing Manager (EMM) expand our email service to Shoelace’s client base. Specifically, you will manage current and new email client’s accounts including building and strategizing campaigns and flows.


Assist in the growth of the Service

  • Perform audits on new accounts
  • Help the EMM manage email clients,
  • Report on revenue targets, and
  • Expand the service both internally to our clients and externally to prospective clients,
  • Train the team on email best practices,
  • Collaborate with the internal team, primarily the EMM to drive the growth of this service,


Execute the Service


We expect this individual to manage clients who are using our email service. This will include:

  • Segmenting the email subscriber base based on demographics, purchase behaviour, and engagement metrics to deliver targeted and personalized email campaigns, and
  • Building and executing monthly email marketing strategies; including executing campaigns and workflows to achieve specific objectives such as increasing sales, acquiring new customers, or promoting product launches,
  • Aligning with the client and the client’s assigned Growth Partner on the execution of the email strategy,
  • Analyzing campaign performance data and providing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement
  • Ensuring continuous optimization in performance through A/B testing (creative, copy, send times, segmentation, email best practises, and deliverability guidelines,


Requirements

  • Some experience with HTML/CSS is a plus
  • You are articulate. You have strong written, verbal and interpersonal skills
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
  • Agency experience preferred but not necessary
  • Proficiency in email marketing platforms (ideally Klavyio)
  • Must have 2+ years email marketing experience, preferably in the DTC ecommerce space managing on Klaviyo
  • Proven results in customer lifecycle management, retention, customer segmentation, and loyalty marketing
  • Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret data and derive actionable insights
  • Minimum 1 year experience using analytics or attribution platforms like Google Analytics, with a proven results and data-driven mindset
  • Proficiency using email lists, segmentation, email marketing platforms, and data analytics platforms (ex. Google Analytics, Data Studio)
  • Some experience in paid media (Facebook, Google, Pinterest, Tiktok etc.) are also highly considered
