Job Title: Electro-Technician
Location: 70 Dickinson Dr, Ingleside, ON K0C 1M0
Working Shift: 24/7 coverage on a rotating basics. The shifts are 6am-6pm and 6pm-6am

About the Opportunity:
The Electro-technician is a recognized leader by role modeling the safety, quality and productivity imperatives on the operation while leveraging his/her acute skills on technical issue resolution and improvements.
Critical Success Factors:
- Prepare line equipment for start-up and shutdown.
- Perform shift coverage including weekends and nights according to a rotation schedule that is subject to change during the course of the year according to business requirements.
- Install and modify electrical and instrumentation equipment and performs mechanical work when required.
- Perform electrical maintenance tasks on production equipment, equipment installation, PLC programming, department utilities, and mechanical work when required to support other trades people, communicate with all stakeholders, follow quality and safety procedures, complete documentation, and perform other responsibilities as required.
- Troubleshoot of electrical and instrument problems, repair electrical and instrument equipment, program Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), and calibrating instrumentation.
Key Attributes of the Ideal Candidate:
- Experience with Microsoft Office software, basic SAP knowledge, experience with current industry software such as APT, Tisoft and Allen Bradley, Knowledge of high-speed packaging equipment and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Possess abilities to maintain, calibrate and repair instrumentation and control equipment.
- Experience working with other electrical shop team members to achieve results, resolve issues and effectively prioritize work demands.
- Province of Ontario recognized trade certificate as an Electrician (442A or 309A), or Instrumentation and control technician (447A). (Proof of trade certification is required with resume.)
- PLC and computer system training and experience.
- Able to troubleshoot, maintain and program AB or any other brand PLCs.
- 3 – 5 years’ experience in a food manufacturing environment and previous successful job functions that required similar abilities, skills and education would be considered an asset.
- Able to read and interpret electrical drawings, blueprints, and schematics
- Registered Apprentice that has completed all three (3) levels of school. (Proof of education is required with resume.)
- Proficient in English, including verbal and written communication.
- Self-motivated and ambitious - able to work with minimal supervision, while staying organized and meeting deadlines
