Essential functions:


  • Support third party suppliers and vendors.
  • Participate in design activities between engineering groups as well as manufacturing.
  • Assist in the analysis of drawings, specifications and requirements from both internal/external customers.
  • Participate in estimates.
  • Be part of a team responsible for the electrical design, packaging and support for flight simulator cockpit related electrical systems.
  • Assist in the definition of the simulator equipment configuration, produce equipment lists, wiring diagram and electrical system schematics required to stimulate this equipment in a simulation environment.
  • Define and prepare technical documentation and drawings for simulated panels/instruments.
  • Participate in requirement and design reviews (PDRs, CDRs).
  • Participate in technical and conformance evaluations for simulated panels/instruments.
  • Provide technical solutions to meet project requirements.


Qualifications:


  • Experience with E2A, SEE Electrical, Powerdraft an asset.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical engineering concepts.
  • Good experience with electrical, avionic and power systems.
  • Bachelors in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
  • Bilingualism required.
  • Good working knowledge of CAD systems and word processing/spreadsheet software’s.
  • Capacity to manage priorities in a context of multiple and complex project deliveries.
  • Experience with electrical signal distribution/interconnection technology, interface packaging, and power supply/distribution.
  • Good technical writing and communication skills.
  • Good experience with simulated panel and instrument interfaces.
  • Knowledge of aircraft instrumentation, D/A A/D conversion, serial communication data busses such as RS-232/422, USB, and of the ARINC 429, ARINC 600 and Mil-1553 standard would be considered an asset.
