We are looking for an Electrical Designer to join our client's team in Moncton, NB. They strive to achieve excellence by working in an optimized manner through a combination of machinery, technology, and skilled and passionate people.

Hours: Monday-Friday (No Overnights)

Salary: $60,000-$90,000

Start Date: August 9, 2023

Responsibilities

As an electrical designer you will be responsible for a variety of things, including, but not limited to:

• Supporting the Control System Engineer with system development and support activities related to custom automation equipment, including electrical design (i.e. AC main power entry or distribution, motor control, digital or analog I/O control, and schematic generation).
• Coordinate with Software Development and Mechanical Design staff to ensure electrical and software requirements match with mechanism and process design.
• Plan and perform project activities as directed by project leaders and management.
• Implement control system design changes and new control system functions for custom automation systems as directed
• Design and coordinate experiments and tests to resolve control system issues, as required.
• Ensure program documentation, operations documentation, and user guides are developed and maintained
• Support the modification and creation of electrical schematics and electrical panel layout for custom automation equipment.
• Provide remote customer troubleshooting support for delivered equipment.
• Field installation or on-site repair as needed as well as providing technical support to the organization
• Lab assembly and equipment troubleshooting and commissioning activities.
• Supporting the procurement and tracking of control system project hardware and provide alternate recommendations in the event of delays or issues
• Supporting the Control System Engineer with the commissioning and troubleshooting of automated manufacturing equipment, including interconnect wiring supervision, I/O verification, software functional testing, and validation.

Requirements

• Clean Criminal Record
• Must be a motivated self-starter
• Knowledge of pneumatic technology in automation.
• Familiarity with EPLAN, SolidWorks, Electrical, and Auto-Cad Electrical.
• Excellent problem solving skills for electromechanical equipment
• Good understanding of Canadian Electrical Code
• Reliable transportation
• Able to work independently or part of team
• Knowledge of electromechanical equipment
• Ability to interpret electrical standard
• Bachelors' Degree, preferably in Electrical Engineering; equivalent schooling and experience will be considered
