Job Description
Do you have a passion for sustainable, innovative building design? Are you looking for a career where you can use your electrical engineering skills to make a difference? We are seeking an Electrical Engineer to join our team and help shape the future of building construction!
As an Electrical Engineer, you will work on the conceptual and detailed design of building electrical systems. You'll have the opportunity to collaborate with other talented designers, engineers, and construction managers to create efficient and effective solutions for our clients. You will be reporting to the Electrical Discipline Director and be among a small group of capable employees. Projects will vary with a range of commercial, institutional, light industrial and residential projects.
In This Role, You Will
  • Write reports on building systems and technical assessments
  • Coordinate with other design teams to ensure integrated solutions
  • Conduct field reviews and building condition assessments
  • Mentor and coach junior engineers and designers
  • Design building electrical systems such as power distribution, lighting, life safety systems, and communication systems
To Be Successful In This Role, You'll Need
  • Valid BC professional license
  • Ability to multitask
  • Fast learner and team player
  • Knowledge of Canadian Electrical Code, British Columbia Building Code, National Building Code, and other regulations
  • 3-5 years experience in the electrical buildings engineering field
  • A P.Eng. designation
  • Understanding of sustainable design concepts
  • Familiarity with AutoCAD and an eagerness to learn Revit
  • A university degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited North American university or equivalent
  • 4 to 10 years of engineering experience, with a minimum of 3 years of North American experience
  • Good communication skills and high attention to detail
