Dock Supervisor Jobs

Armour Transportation Systems has an opening for a Dock Supervisor at our St John, NL Logistics Warehouse.

Key Responsibilities

• Ensuring all staff in the warehouse are following operational safety guidelines, i.e., safety vest, steel toe shoes, dock obstacles & cleanliness.
• Updating the available trailer status
• Responsible for overseeing crew attendance management.
• To safely and effectively control the timely flow of freight across the dock by managing the warehouse crew, doors, and equipment.
• Provide email shift updates and reports daily.
• Ensure trailer status and needs are properly communicated.
• Ensure proper equipment is utilized for each outbound lane, i.e., LCV (equipment planning), logistic posts, temperature controlled.
• Ensure freight is secured properly using load bars.
• Ensure “Rush” orders are loaded and turned over to Dispatch on time.

Technical Skills

• Experience and understanding of the Truck Mate system are considered an asset
