Job Description
Your Role This position is responsible for driver assignments, scheduling, and coordinating product movements to customers, vendors, and distribution centers through the efficient use and management of company equipment, fleet, and drivers.


  • Communicate with drivers on schedules and work assignments
  • Adhere to all guaranteed inbound product movements, such as inbound vendor purchase orders for both Dot Foods and internal company transfers
  • Supervise the completion of fleet maintenance and record keeping
  • Leads continuous improvement efforts while applying lean thinking and tools to eliminate waste.
  • Assist in the coordination of product transfer to other distribution centers
  • Work with multiple departments and manage a diverse and hectic workload
  • Focuses on the distribution center DTI service levels, miles per cwt, turnover, and safety frequency rate.
  • Perform specific duties in measuring and reporting driver payroll, service levels, fleet performance, etc.
  • Schedule appointments with customers via phone, email, or web-based formats
  • Provide assistance with customs paperwork for cross boarder (US-Canada) freight movements


Role Specifics


  • Schedule Full-Time; Monday - Friday
  • Travel Occasional overnight travel required for company meetings, trainings, and planning events. Must have ability to travel to the United States and travel independently as needed, without restriction by all modes of transportation, including car, plane, or train


We Need You To Have


  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Effective communication skills
  • Effective planning, organizational, analytical and problem solving skill
  • High school diploma or general equivalency degree

  • Working knowledge of Hours of Service regulations
  • Ability to work in a constantly changing environment
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Knowledge of MTO, Federal and Provincial regulations for drivers and equipment
