About Plannin


Plannin is a platform for creators to help them monetize their travel content & recommendations through a lifetime commission structure. We enable creators to link any travel-related content across social channels (Instagram, TikTok, Youtube) to a unique Plannin profile where their audience can book worldwide accommodations at a discounted rate. Each creator profile will showcase this embedded travel-related content on Plannin to increase social views and exposure, while also providing a powerful recommendation engine for users.


Plannin was co-founded by two industry veterans with deep expertise in the travel space as they sold their last company to Priceline and then built one of the largest travel partner programs in the World. We’re backed by some incredible investors and will be launching our product in Q4 of this year.


About the Role


As the Founding Director of Marketing at Plannin, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the growth and success of our Seed Stage startup. With our innovative platform designed to empower creators in the travel industry, you will have the opportunity to lead our marketing efforts and establish Plannin as the go-to destination for travel monetization and recommendation.


Your primary responsibility will be to develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies to drive user acquisition, engagement, and revenue growth. Collaborating closely with the co-founders, you will leverage your expertise in the travel space to create impactful marketing campaigns that resonate with our target audience of creators, travelers, and accommodation providers.


What You’ll Be Doing


  • Analytics and Reporting: Define key performance indicators (KPIs) for marketing initiatives and leverage analytics tools to track, analyze, and report on marketing campaign effectiveness. Provide regular performance reports to the leadership team, highlighting actionable insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Partnership Development: Identify and establish strategic partnerships with key industry players, influencers, and travel-related organizations to expand Plannin's reach and drive user growth. Negotiate and manage partnerships, affiliate programs, and co-marketing initiatives to maximize brand exposure and revenue opportunities.
  • User Acquisition and Growth: Drive user acquisition by executing data-driven marketing campaigns across various channels, including social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, YouTube), content marketing, influencer partnerships, and performance marketing. Optimize conversion funnels and analyze campaign performance to continuously improve acquisition metrics.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement a strategic marketing plan that aligns with Plannin's business objectives and supports our product launch. Identify key target markets, create buyer personas, and conduct market research to inform marketing strategies and initiatives.
  • Content Marketing: Oversee the creation and distribution of engaging content that showcases the value of Plannin's platform and captures the attention of both creators and travelers. Collaborate with the content team to develop compelling blog posts, videos, social media content, and other formats that drive brand awareness and engagement.
  • Brand Building: Define and communicate Plannin's brand identity, positioning, and value proposition to differentiate us in the competitive travel industry. Develop brand guidelines, messaging frameworks, and creative assets to ensure consistent and compelling brand representation across all channels.

  • You've got the expertise. We're seeking someone with a proven track record of 5+ years in marketing leadership positions, demonstrating consistent delivery of exceptional results. You possess extensive experience in managing budgets, overseeing a diverse team of marketers, writers, and creators, and possess a deep understanding of go-to-market (GTM) strategies and business tactics. Additionally, you have experience in scaling teams, segments, or start-ups, showcasing your ability to drive growth and success.
