Responsibilities:
·Lead and manage a portfolio of active low rise development projects across the GTA
·Perform review of and provide advice regarding potential land purchases
·Provide mentorship and supervisory direction to junior staff
·Prepare and manage project cashflows, invoices and CSA obligations
·Negotiate consultant contracts and other agreements relevant to the development industry
·Attend and participate in Landowner Group Meetings to help facilitate the development of communities
·Liase with lawyers, consultants, municipal and governmental agencies in an effort to secure the necessary land development approvals
·Provide Project status update to Owners and Partners
·Review and finalize various environmental and engineering reports
Requirements/Qualifications:
·University Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
·10+ years progressive management and work related experience in Land Development
·Thorough understanding municipal and provincial legislation affecting land development
·Knowledgeable in residential subdivision design, master servicing plans, storm water management, site grading, construction contracts and cost sharing agreements
·OBC knowledge is an asset
·Solid knowledge of the land development approval process in various GTA municipalities
·Competent in developing Proformas, Project Cash Flow Spreadsheets
·Excellent collaboration skills to advance key projects and work effectively with multidisciplinary teams and municipalities/ government agencies
·Excellent negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills
·Able to be autonomous, resourceful and have strong organizational skills
·Ability to direct and supervise employee and sub-contracted workers
·Have excellent communication and technical writing skills
·Computer literate in AutoCAD, MS Office, Excel etc.
·Valid Driver’s license
