Director, Finance - Manufacturing

Our client is a Canadian based manufacturer of electric propulsion and electric powertrain equipment with facilities in the US and Mexico. The company offers a range of electric motors and generators for clients in the railway, locomotive, wind energy, military, mining, oil and gas industries.

They are a well established company and trusted partner with long standing clients in the Fortune 500 market around the world, and poised for significant growth over the next decade!

We are looking for a Director, Finance to join their exceptional team.

Responsibilities

• You will also be accountable for IT.
• Oversee and get the best out of a team of 6 reporting into you.
• You will be accountable for all standard Finance functions: financial reporting, cost accounting, treasury, financing.
• The expectation is that this role actively drives results and not simply report on results.
• Results must be achieved with full compliance with their mission to be The World’s Most Trusted Company.
• You must be obsessed with financial performance and profitability.
• This role will have a seat at the leadership table, and be considered to be the financial business partner to the CEO and COO.

About You

• In-depth knowledge of corporate finance and accounting principles, laws and best practices
• Excellent organizational and leadership skills
• 10 years experience in the finance field
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal abilities
• Leadership experience of 6 people or more, ideally located in different locations
• Proficient in the use of MS Office and financial management software (e.g. Epicor Kinetic)
• CPA or other relevant qualification is a plus
• Solid knowledge of financial analysis and forecasting
• MUST - Experience working with a manufacturing company > multi country/multi site experience
• OBSESSED with profitability
• An analytical mind with a strategic ability
• Exceptional performance and track record of helping a company with above average growth (over 10% per year EBT)
