Leader Name: Associate Vice President, EFS Advice & Team Member Experience


Work Arrangement: Hybrid: You'll work both remote and onsite, where time onsite is based on your job accountabilities and performance objectives.


As ATB's next Director, EFS Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B), you will work to broaden and deepen Everyday Financial Services (EFS) focus on building an authentic and engaging culture of truth and reconciliation. EFS is the forefront of ATB's brand through our more than 280 branches, agencies, client care or entrepreneur centers distributed throughout Alberta along with our digital and online systems.


In delivering on this mandate, you will lead a team to execute on the Enterprise Inclusion & Reconciliation strategy by focusing specifically on design, implementation and monitoring of EFS wide policies, programs and practices that promote a culture where everyone feels fairly represented, seen, heard and that they belong.


Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and oversee the execution of powerful strategies to embed diversity, inclusion, cultural competency and belonging across EFS, including awareness and education initiatives, programs that foster visible leadership commitment and outreach programs that identify opportunities for our critical populations.
  • Evolve a multi year EFS Diversity, Inclusion & Belonging (DI&B) strategy:
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Partner with Enterprise Inclusion & Reconciliation and the EFS leadership teams to drive measurable long-term, inclusive and diverse talent identification and retention strategies specific to our critical populations.
  • Collaborate with EFS leadership to build, implement, execute and evaluate EFS's DI&B strategy. Drive leadership awareness, commitment and accountability for EFS and Enterprise DI&B initiatives.
  • In partnership with Enterprise Inclusion & Reconciliation and with an EFS focus, liaise with external organizations and groups to represent our brand and teams in forums where the topic of inclusion and reconciliation can make an impact.

Requirements

  • An in-depth knowledge of leading practices, policies, processes and evaluation tools in diversity, inclusion and belonging
  • Model ATB's culture and behaviors at all times in order to execute on strategy and build a culture of performance
  • Able to influence a broad group of stakeholders, partners and senior leaders
  • A skilled practitioner with the ability to develop and deliver required frameworks and programming in addition to providing oversight to others in these efforts
  • Recruit, develop and organize team member capabilities in order to build a high-performing and motivated team
  • Strategic and system thinking and methodologies to drive results
  • Effectively handle day-to-day responsibilities for the team, focusing on high-value efforts, and identifying and resolving issues


Accreditation


  • Financial services industry experience would be considered an asset
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent level of experience
  • Experience with planning and implementing change management strategies
  • Demonstrated progressive experience in diversity and equity strategy and process development with a specific focus on Indigenous Relations and New Canadians
