What We’re Looking For
We are seeking a talented Designer in Vancouver to join our team as the primary creative support on the design front for a major telecommunications client. This person will take existing brand guidelines and creative materials, reimagine and adapt them for different deliverables. This role will balance both original conceptual ideas and production/mechanical design projects.
The ideal candidate must have a great eye for design, come from an integrated background, fluent in Adobe suite, and have outstanding communication skills with demonstrated interpersonal and organization abilities.
What You’ll Do

• Develop concept for a variety of projects including TV, OLA, Print, Digital and more. This includes ideation, storyboarding, and creating visually engaging designs that align with the project's objectives and target audience.
• Demonstrate a deep understanding and proficiency in working within a design system
• Manage multiple projects simultaneously, incorporating feedback from various stakeholders
• Serve as the creative representative for our company on the design front supporting this client
• Adapt campaign creative for different placements while maintaining a cohesive brand image
• Present ideas in a clear and concise manner
• Collaborate with WPP creative partners, offshore production teams, and client teams to deliver design elements on brand and to spec
• Occasionally work on-site at client offices in Vancouver
• Develop visually compelling and impactful designs for a variety of deliverables including: in-store signage, newsletters, social, print, broadcast ensuring it effectively communicates our brand message and enhances the overall customer experience

What You’ll Have

• Previous experience working with national brands and familiarity with significant brand guidelines is highly desirable.
• Familiarity with integrated design approaches, including TV and digital platforms
• Proficiency in storyboarding and experience working collaboratively with offshore production teams is a plus
• Foundational understanding of pre-press and mechanical design
• Knowledge of design systems and experience working within established brand guidelines
• Proven experience working independently and thriving without constant supervision
• Willingness to work in person at client offices in Vancouver (hybrid schedule)
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Positive, open minded, solutions-oriented thinker
• Strong communication skills and the ability to present and articulate design ideas effectively
• Excellent design skills in the creative suite with knowledge in Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign
• Excellent organization and time management skills
• A keen eye for detail, aesthetics, and visual storytelling
• A strong portfolio showcasing your creative and conceptual design skills following a large brand’s guidelines
• 3+ Years Design experience in both creative design and light mechanical production design
