Data Platform Engineer Jobs

On behalf of our client, Procom Consultants Group is currently searching for a Data Platform Engineer.

As a member of the Data & Analytics team, reporting to the Head of Data & Analytics, you will be part of the team that bridges the gap between business strategy and data. You will help scale data & analytics by ensuring that data infrastructure is high quality, performant, resilient, and optimized for business impact. You will own the data transformations and provide the single source of truth for the organization.

Data Platform Engineer :

• Leverage cloud resources to support the acquisition and ingestion of internal and external data sources
• Build up and improve the observability of the platform as well as ps provide visibility into system health
• Maximize the availability, recoverability, and operational efficiency of data pipelines and supporting systems
• Participate in technical design reviews, code reviews and pair programming sessions
• Own the data platform development, maintenance and administration to ensure we have the right technology that brings in the correct data in the right format
• Leverage modern software development processes and tooling (e.g, CI/CD) to ensure a reliable and scalable data platform
• Create and execute the data platform strategy that aligns with the Data & Analytics strategy
• Responsible for building, maintaining and managing large-scale data pipelines that power critical features
• Create APIs and BI Integrations to deliver large datasets to the customers

Data Platform Engineer Mandatory Skills:

• Experience in Spark
• Experience in ELT/ETL
• Experience in Rest API
• Experience in Amazon Glue, S3, AppFlow, Athena, EC2/ECS, Code Commit/Code Pipeline
• Experience with data pipeline technologies, data modelling (Star schemas, Snowflake, and aggregation tables)
• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in Business Intelligence, Machine Learning, Business Management, Computer or Data Sciences, or Statistics
• Work with cloud-based data warehouses, ELT processes
• Have extensive amount of experience in data engineering or data infrastructure roles
• Prosses expert Python skills (PySpark, Pandas, Scikit Learn, Numpy, Boto3, Glue + Spark Context)

Plusses:

• Python’s Keras/TensorFlow/Pytorch
• Experience in Power BI
