Team And Role


  • Within this project you will have the opportunity to learn many aspects of the business that relate to the challenge, and how to leverage Smartsheet, one of the available software tools, to enable success
  • Work on a project with the AMER Corporate Development team where you will get visibility to and work with many organizations at Equinix – Real Estate, Sales, IBX Operations, Global Design & Construction, Customer Care, Product, Legal, Business Development, Commercial Solutions, Commercial Finance, Global Operations Engineering, IT, Finance, Global Product Networks and many more!
  • Join the data center divestiture project team and get hands on experience solving real-world business challenges using readily available tools while fostering coordination and collaboration between Equinix teams to make the project a success


Assignments And Responsibilities


Support the Corporate Development function in creating automation and dashboarding to drive improvements in the data center divestiture program. Bring your creativity and business learning to help the team build more efficiently manage the project across multiple global and regional teams while and scale the process to produce more predictive results:


  • Adhoc support on ongoing divestitures
  • Support next iteration of Global Playbook interacting with Global Site Divestiture Teams
  • Learn the site divestiture process and process gaps shadowing the site divestiture lead
  • Bring your own creativity to support additional Smartsheet tools and dashboards to further enhance the efficiency and scale under the direction of our Site Divestiture Lead
  • Learn Smartsheet as a Tool both through online tutorials and shadowing other SMEs in the company
  • Meet and learn from other teams involved in the active divestiture project


Who You Are (Requirements And Qualifications)


  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, business proficiency in English
  • Ability to multi-task and work collaboratively and effectively in a fast-paced environment 
  • Available to work full-time for the entire duration of the Summer Internship Program (between May to September, depending on your school system)
  • Analytically driven and detail-oriented, with working knowledge of Microsoft Office Package and aptitude to learn new software
  • Must be currently enrolled in an accredited university/college, in your penultimate year of your bachelor’s or master’s degree studies (Graduation between December 2023-September 2024)
  • Ability to create accurate and punctual reports, deliver presentations, and share information and ideas with others
