Research And Special Projects Intern Jobs

Establish and recommend budget requirements based on operational activities to ensure effective resource and expense management at all times.

Proven Project management experience preferred

Strong Customer Service and People Management skills; Interface with internal and external stakeholders and problem resolution to meet corporate service standards.

Provide project management expertise to support and recommend solutions and changes in ways to meet key corporate and divisional strategies.

PMP (Project Management Professional) is an asset.

At least 2 years supervisory experience preferred

Assisting with knowledge dissemination (i.e., manuscripts for publication, papers/posters for presentation, interim and final reports, briefing notes, etc.)

Minimum of 3 years of experience working professionally in post-secondary student services, including significant experience leading independent or team research projects

Language Proficiency – strong communication and writing skills.

Team-Oriented - demonstrated interpersonal skills and an ability to work effectively in a team environment.

The Scope Of Responsibilities Include

Research activities, such as conducting literature reviews, focus groups and writing reports and research proposals;

Coordinate training events that support engagement of community members in research (ethics, data management, analysis, interpretation, knowledge translation development)

Experience with project management systems, tools and methods (eg Microsoft Planner)

Demonstrated skills in research project and data management

Collaborate with other BPL staff to oversee ongoing project management, planning, facilitation and evaluation of project activities.

Responsible for data management and data analysis, as directed by the PI, RA, and Co-investigators

Familiarity with and experience with implementation of anti-racist and anti-oppression methods for community engagement, research and knowledge translation.

Strong knowledge of research methodologies and scientific principles.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Collaborate with the team to develop and implement strategies to enhance user experience.

Currently enrolled in a relevant degree program (preferably in business, marketing, or education).

Strong organizational and multitasking skills.

Passion for education and a desire to inspire young learners.

Provide work direction to study clerks and other study staff, students, trainees and staff as required.

Excellent communication skills both verbal and written.

Manage multiple resource intense projects within a fast paced environment.

Organizational, analytical and decision-making skills.

Extensive experience of presenting and addressing Council, public, stakeholders in various types of situations and engagement platforms

Computer applications experience with MS Office (Word, Outlook, Excel, Access, and Power Point), CityView, Bluebeam, and ArcGIS

Demonstrated customer service skills at a level to develop and maintain cooperative/ collaborative working relationships both within and outside the organization
